This is another standard styrofoam project. I start by selecting an image I want to represent. Then I overlay a grid to scale it to the desired size and create a stencil of that scaled image onto a sheet of styrofoam to be cut to shape.
I then trace that first shape onto as many sheets of strofoam as I need to be able to get the final product to the thickness I want, glue them togethr, and start shaping with my wet-vac to scrape off the unwanted parts. In some cases, I use a knife or other means to remove larger parts.
Once I get it to the shape I want (making a three-dimensional model out of a two-dimensional image is a bit of an art, with a lot of guesswork), I fire the strofoam with my heat gun to toughen up the surface.
Finally, I paint it. The teeth are made out of cut pieces of milk cartons that have been painted white.
I had to eventually put a fence around it because too many kids were trying to pet Mr. T and losing body parts. I could only sustain so many lawsuits before my insurance got to an unmanageable level.
