The guts of this critter is make from balloons. I started with two inflated balloons tied together with their blowholes (what name would you give them?). Here I am attaching paper-mache to the outside of the two balloons.
Next I rolled up paper, taped it so it would keep its shape and attached it to this Sunny D bottle just to give me a solid base to work on.
Here I am attaching paper-mache to the nose.
Next comes the head.
Attaching the body, head and nose together and then stretching chicken wire over the top of everything.
Eyes (ping pong balls) and wings (cardboard) have been added. Here I am attaching the wire to a base where I will be adding the hypertufa. Once his hypertufa "feet" are completed, I remove the wires and finish adding the hypertufa to the rest of his body.
Parker is making his first venture outside near the patio area. He is wide-eyed and decked out with a spiffy bowtie for the world to admire.
Parker does like to dress up for various occasions. This is kind of his end-of-workday casual look
He's not really a cross-dresser but did want to try on this Little Red Riding Hood cape.
His winter attire.
Parker's summer hair do. He does have several other outfits for different occasions as well.
