I had time to snap a couple of pictures of the critter but when I went around to the side to check him out, he had disappeared. I wasn't totally surprised. On our African Safaris, a giraffe could disappear by taking just a couple of steps into some trees.

OK, as you can see, it is not a giraffe in the wilds. I used my usual techniques to first get a print, mold him out of styrfoam, cover it with hypertufa, and finally paint him. Actually he consisted of just what you see here. There is a long rebar stuck in the ground and up through the neck and head. The body is stabilized against the shed exterior.
